Vinyl vs. Breeze Unrivaled Prediction (February 21st, 2026)
The race to the 2026 Unrivaled playoffs is on. Only one week remains before the real games arrive, and with three teams already officially punching their playoff ticket, everyone else is on the clock.
Time is running out for the bottom feeders in Unrivaled, but one of the Breeze or Vinyl can make things a little less hectic by getting a win on Saturday.
Vinyl comes in at 4-7 and presently holds onto the 6th and final playoff spot. They’ve dropped their last two games, but a win here could cement their playoff status. The same is very much true for the Breeze, who enter at 5-6. A win would get them back to .500 and virtually guarantee them a playoff spot.
So, which team will win? I’ll break it all down and come to a final Vinyl vs. Breeze prediction, while pointing you to the best bets to target for this game.

Early Season Performance & Trends

Vinyl BC
Vinyl is made up of Rae Burrell, Dearica Hamby, Rhyne Howard, Brittney Griner, Erica Wheeler, and Saniya Rivers. Teresa Weatherspoon calls the shots from the sidelines as the team’s head coach.
This squad is just 4-7 on the year despite having a good amount of talent. They got started off on the wrong foot early in the year by losing to the #1-ranked Laces, while they lost a heartbreaker (69-67) to Rose in their second game.
Vinyl got it going by blowing out the Hive in their third game of the year, and kept it going by smoking the Breeze (81-66) to get to 2-2. It’s been a struggle ever since, but after dropping to 2-5, Vinyl has rallied to go 2-2 over their last four games.
That run includes an impressive upset win over the Laces, while Vinyl also gave a good Phantom squad a run for their money in a 76-73 loss.
Vinyl is far from elite, but they proved they have fight and can hang with the best teams in Unrivaled. Now they just need to keep doing it and take care of business against the Breeze.

Breeze BC
The Breeze consists of Courtney Williams, Cameron Brink, Kate Martin, Dominique Malonga, Paige Bueckers, Aari McDonald, and Rickea Jackson. Noelle Quinn runs the show as head coach.
Team Breeze is in a better spot than Vinyl at the moment. They’re 5-6, and a win here would basically lock them into a playoff spot.
It’s been an up-and-down year for the Breeze, who got off to a nice 2-0 start before dropping to 2-2. They’ve had issues with consistency, but they’ve hovered around .500 all season and have a nice win over the Phantom.
The Breeze have slipped of late, however, as they are just 1-3 over their last four games. They still have a clear path to the Unrivaled playoffs, and may very well still get in even if they lose to the Vinyl. However, losing out would put them in a precarious spot.
Head‑to‑Head / Historical Context
The Breeze and the Vinyl played one time earlier this year, with the Breeze losing 81-66. Paige Bueckers was sensational with 25 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, but she got little help from her teammates.
Dearica Hamby and Rhyne Howard dominated the Breeze in that game, with Howard connecting on six threes and Hamby going to work inside.
Key Matchup Breakdown
The Vinyl average 69 points per game, which is third worst in Unrivaled. They’re decent at working the ball and finding good shots (5th in assists).
The team is paced by Dearica Hamby (18.7 ppg), who can dominate inside and shoots 56.8% from the floor. She’s not a threat from long range and shoots just 59% from the charity stripe, but she rebounds well and is a reliable scoring presence.
Howard is her partner in crime, producing 17.5 points per game and giving Vinyl a rock-solid perimeter option (39% from deep). Rae Burrell (34.8%) and Eric Wheeler (40%) are also viable options from deep when they’re on the floor.
The Breeze have the league’s 4th best scoring offense (71.7 ppg) and share the ball well (3rd in assists). They can be a bit reckless with the ball, however, as they commit the second-most turnovers in Unrivaled.
Unsurprisingly, Paige Bueckers dominates on offense for this squad, as she averages 24.5 points per game. She has been very efficient, hitting 54% from the field and 37.5% from deep, while rebounding well and also dishing out 6.3 dimes per contest.
Bueckers is the MVP of this team, but the Breeze generate a lot of production elsewhere, as Rickea Jackson and Cameron Brink chip in 15.6 and 10.2 points per game, while Dominique Malonga ranks second on the team in scoring (16.6 ppg).
Malonga (9.9 rebounds per game) gives the Breeze the edge on the glass. She can be a serious force inside, and nobody the Vinyl have can really combat her in that regard.
Hamby (7.8 rpg) is their best bet, while they could always see if Brittney Griner can turn back the clock. That said, the Breeze lead all of Unrivaled with 34.8 rebounds per game, so it’s likely they will have the edge on the glass in this matchup.
Team Breeze is also the more imposing team in general, but Team Vinyl has only allowed more than 70 points five times in 12 games. Most of those instances came against top-tier teams, too.
There are some key matchups to watch ahead of this Vinyl vs. Breeze tilt:
- Hamby vs. Malonga: Hamby and Malonga will clash on the glass. I give the edge to Malonga, while their inside scoring will also be something to watch, especially with Malonga coming off a dominant effort (14 for 17) against the Lunar Owls.
- Perimeter Battle: The Vinyl shot 42.9% from deep in their last game. If they can’t win inside, they’ll need to hit from deep. Rhyne Howard’s blistering three-point shooting gives them a mild edge here.
- Star Power: Paige Bueckers can take over this game and drop 40 real points. She impacts the game at every level, so if she shows up, the Breeze will be awfully tough to stop.
Betting Odds & Market Interpretation
Check out the latest Vinyl vs. Breeze odds at DraftKings:
| Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
Vinyl | +3.5 (-115) | +145 | Over 140.5 (-115) |
Breeze | -3.5 (-115) | -188 | Under 140.5 (-115) |
The Vinyl vs. Breeze betting odds are tight, but overall pretty fair. Team Breeze has been better, and they have the best player in this game. The Vinyl are being respected with the tight spread, but that makes sense since they need to win to have a shot at the playoffs.
The game total sounds about right. Team Vinyl averages 69 points per game, and the Breeze come in at 71.
From a Bettor’s Lens
Given how these teams have played lately and everything that’s on the line, I like the Over here. Paige Bueckers can heat up on the perimeter, while Howard can light it up from the other side. Both teams have effective interior presences in Malonga and Hamby, too.
I also don’t see why we’d go away from the Breeze. These teams are fairly close, but they have Paige Bueckers; they rebound better, and their offense has been more reliable.
Best Bets & Confidence Levels
| Bet | Recommendation | Confidence Level |
|---|---|---|
Breeze ML (-188) | The Breeze are the superior team and can punch their playoff ticket with a win. Look for Bueckers to show up in a big way. | 8/10 |
Over 140.5 (-115) | Neither defense is all that imposing, and both teams have a solid inside/outside attack. I think we can get a little shootout and hit the Over. | 7/10 |

Final Score Prediction & Closing Thoughts
Final Score Prediction: Breeze 77, Vinyl 74
Paige Bueckers was irate when she lost in her one-on-one battle. Just imagine how motivated she’s going to be to make sure the Breeze reach the playoffs.
The Breeze have their shortcomings, but having perhaps the best player in the entire league – and most certainly in this game – gives them all the edge they need. That drives me to my first Breeze vs. Vinyl prediction; that the Breeze come away with a victory.
All of Bueckers, Howard, Hamby, and Malonga have been fantastic all year. Look for them to show up in a tense battle that goes down to the wire. If that ends up being true, there should be enough scoring to also get us to the Over.
