FanDuel holds the largest slice of US sports-betting handle, and the app is the reason the volume sticks. The bet slip is genuinely easy to navigate, the search-and-filter menu tames a sprawling market list on a small screen, and the same-game parlay builder is still the template rivals work backward from. Live betting stays quick even when a full Sunday NFL card lands at once. The knocks are real: individual prices are not always the best available, and the rewards program has no casino-floor payoff. For a single all-purpose download, nothing here is a safer starting point.

Hard Rock Bet is the gentlest on-ramp in this group, which is why new bettors gravitate to it. The interface stays calm where the majors get busy, stakes sit lower, and the list is trimmed to the bets most people place. It also holds a status no rival can copy: under the Seminole Tribe’s exclusive compact it is the only sportsbook you can legally load in Florida, the third-largest state. iPhone owners have pushed it to a 4.9 store score on hundreds of thousands of ratings. The ceiling is lower, though, with roughly ten states covered and limits seasoned players soon reach.

DraftKings is the range play. It operates in more jurisdictions than anyone else here, 27 states and DC, so a legal-betting home state very likely has it. The market menu is the deepest here, prop builders get frequent upgrades, and its DFS product sits one tap away in the same app. It is also the rare book that earns a matching 4.8 on the App Store and Google Play, a sign of even cross-platform performance. The promo terms reward close reading, and parlay prices sit a shade behind FanDuel’s, but for sheer breadth it is unmatched.

BetMGM is built for the bettor who splits time between the sportsbook and the casino tab. The two share a wallet and an MGM Rewards account, so play on either side earns tier credit redeemable as comps at MGM resorts, a loop no sportsbook-first rival can offer. The betting product sits a step behind the specialists: in-play depth trails bet365’s, and prop tooling trails DraftKings. Platform quality splits by phone: a polished 4.8 iOS app, but state-by-state Android builds average a middling 4.0. If casino play is half your reason for downloading, this is the crossover to beat.

The sportsbook reaches roughly two dozen states and does the fundamentals well, though the interface shows its age next to FanDuel’s. Pricing swings from sharp to ordinary by market. BetRivers is Rush Street’s regional specialist. Rather than chase every state, it built deep casino ties across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic and poured its energy into iGaming, so its casino tooling runs richer than most sportsbook-led apps here. The betting side is tidy rather than expansive, and its footprint is narrower than the national names. In testing, the iPhone app reaches a 4.9 store score, level with the highest mark here, and support answers faster than the big operators. The iRush program is fair but has no land-based network, so the app fits best inside iGaming states.

bet365 arrived from the European market, and its live product still reflects that heritage. When a match is in progress the in-play board can run to triple-digit markets, prices refresh fast enough to bet on the run, and a stats overlay helps shape a bet rather than fill space. Its soccer and tennis coverage reaches lower divisions that US-native books tend to ignore. The catch is reach: it is live in only about 17 states, fewer than its global name suggests, and its promotions run quieter than the American pattern. For anyone who watches and wagers in real time, nothing else here competes.

Fanatics came to betting from retail, and that origin is the whole pitch. FanCash moves in both directions between the sportsbook and the merchandise store, so wagers can fund gear and gear can fund wagers, a crossover no other operator offers. Its reach is real, around 23 states inherited from its PointsBet acquisition, and both stores rate the product highly, at 4.8 on iPhone and 4.7 on Android. The reason it lands last is straightforward: banking options, support, and market breadth all trail the leaders, and the sportsbook does not own a single category.
