MLB DFS Picks & Stacks for Wednesday (10/7/26)
One of the last big slates of the MLB DFS season arrives on Wednesday night. Every single Division Series is at risk of ending tonight, with the Brewers, Rays, Dodgers and White Sox all in action and one win away from advancing. DraftKings has all four games on its main slate, which locks at 4:00 PM ET with Guardians at White Sox.
The question, of course, is which teams can stave off elimination, and which MLB DFS picks belong in your DraftKings lineups? My short answer is Tyler Glasnow at $10,000 and as many Dodgers bats as you can afford. I’ll go over the top arms and best bats, while also offering some strategy for tonight’s four-game slate.
MLB DFS Overview for Wednesday
This is an ugly one despite getting four games to work with. Tyler Glasnow easily stands out as the top ace, and he’s not even overly priced relative to the slate. The drop-off from him is marked, of course, while three different teams (Cleveland, Milwaukee and Chicago) complicate matters with bullpen games.
That could have those games going either way. The game in Chicago is the one with a weather angle: it will be warm (mid-70s at first pitch) with the wind blowing out at 10 miles per hour.
Tonight’s Lines at DraftKings
No game on the board is totaled above 8.0, and the Dodgers are the only offense with a team total posted at 4.5. Three of the four series leaders are on the road, and the Dodgers are the only one of those three favored to close it out.
| Game | First Pitch (ET) | Game Total | Moneyline | Series |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CLE at CWS | 4:00 PM | 8.0 | CWS -126 / CLE +105 | CWS leads 2-0 |
| LAD at ATL | 6:00 PM | 7.5 | LAD -155 / ATL +128 | LAD leads 2-1 |
| TB at NYY | 8:00 PM | 7.0 | NYY -167 / TB +138 | TB leads 2-0 |
| MIL at SD | 10:00 PM | 7.5 | SD -112 / MIL -107 | MIL leads 2-1 |
Every number here is DraftKings’ posted line, checked at 12:40 PM ET on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, and lines move. DraftKings’ own team-total market has the Dodgers at 4.5 runs and the other seven offenses at 3.5.
Weather and Parks
Chicago is the only game where the weather moves the needle. The National Weather Service has Rate Field sunny and 74 degrees at first pitch with a 10 mph wind out of the north, which pushes the ball toward right field. There is no rain in the forecast at any of the four parks.
| Venue | Forecast at First Pitch | Park Runs / HR |
|---|---|---|
| Rate Field (CLE at CWS) | 74F, sunny, north wind 10 mph | 98 / 99 |
| Truist Park (LAD at ATL) | 77F, clear, calm | 100 / 100 |
| Yankee Stadium (TB at NYY) | 61F, clear, south wind 8 mph | 102 / 118 |
| Petco Park (MIL at SD) | 80F, clear, northwest wind 5 mph | 94 / 105 |
Forecasts are from the National Weather Service. The park numbers are MLB’s own Statcast park factors from Baseball Savant on a 2024 to 2026 rolling window, where 100 is league average. Rate Field plays close to neutral on its own, so the warmth and the wind are what lift that game. Petco Park ranks 26th for runs, and the Dodgers leave the best home run park in baseball (124) for a dead-neutral one in Atlanta.
Best MLB DFS Pitchers for 10/7
Tyler Glasnow is the top spend, Max Fried is the best pivot, Walker Buehler is the value play and Nick Martinez is my GPP pick. Glasnow is the most expensive arm scheduled to pitch tonight, but he’s also the best.
Tyler Glasnow ($10,000): The Ace of the Slate
The Dodgers’ righty has the top projection and the best ceiling on my board. He’s been fantastic over his last two starts (27-plus DraftKings points in both, with 21 strikeouts across 12.1 innings), and a trip to Truist Park isn’t especially troubling.
The Braves aren’t a cakewalk matchup, but Glasnow has held Atlanta to a .207 batting average over six career meetings, with 46 strikeouts. He’s also performed much better away from hitter-friendly Dodger Stadium this year: a 2.84 ERA on the road against 4.25 at home. One note of caution is that his only start at Truist Park this season, on August 25, lasted five innings with three runs allowed. There is leverage in stacking Braves, but locking Glasnow in just feels like the smart thing to do.
Max Fried ($8,500): The Only Other Big Spend
Fried is the next guy up. Nobody else scheduled to start sniffs Glasnow’s price, so this doesn’t really qualify as a pivot. It’s simply the only other big-time spend you can make at pitcher on DraftKings. That should make it easy to just pair these guys for $18,500, and the Yanks definitely need Fried to bring his A-game as they face elimination.
The good news is Fried was dealing in his last start (25 DraftKings points against Boston in the Wild Card Series), and he’s owned the Rays throughout his career, allowing a .154 batting average across seven meetings. That said, Fried has been noticeably worse at home this year: a 3.42 ERA at Yankee Stadium against 2.34 on the road, and all four home runs he allowed came in the Bronx. Tampa Bay also got to him for four runs there on September 22. I still think the spot is solid for him, and prioritizing him over Glasnow would definitely help you save cash.
Walker Buehler ($6,300): A Punt for Run Prevention
Pitching gets ugly from here, as we are looking at shaky starters or unreliable bulk-innings relief arms. Guys like Robert Gasser, Foster Griffin and Davis Martin are all in play if they draw the bulk work, but they are going to be pretty tough to trust.
Walker Buehler at least saves us money, and he’s at home in a pitcher’s park. Milwaukee is up 2-1 in this series, but the Brewers lack reliable power: they hit 154 home runs this year, 28th in MLB. Be honest about the risk, though. Buehler isn’t that good (a 4.63 ERA, and he didn’t finish four innings in his last start), and the Brewers still scored the second-most runs in baseball and were second in OPS against right-handers. Buehler is a viable punt simply for run prevention and salary relief.
Nick Martinez ($7,000): Tournament Arm Against a Judge-Less Lineup
Martinez isn’t much more expensive and is also in play, as the Aaron Judge-less Yankees are apparently preparing to exit the MLB playoffs with a whimper. New York has scored two runs in the first two games of this series.
Martinez got smoked in his last start (four runs in 2.2 innings at Philadelphia), but he has otherwise been serviceable, with 14-plus DraftKings points in four of his last five outings. One of those came at Yankee Stadium on September 22: six innings, two runs and seven strikeouts. He doesn’t miss many bats and the park is the second-best in baseball for home runs, so this is a tournament play only.
Top MLB DFS Hitters for Wednesday
Shohei Ohtani is the top spend, Randal Grichuk is the best value and Matt Olson is the GPP pick. One is the most talented bat on the slate, one is a cheap lefty masher in the best hitting weather, and the third is a swing against the chalkiest pitcher of the night.
Shohei Ohtani ($6,000): Quiet, but Still the Top Bat
Ohtani has been very quiet (2-for-10 with no extra-base hits in this series), but he’s still the most talented stick available to us on this slate. If you want to fear the recent form, the matchup or the dip in park factor, I don’t blame you. After all, you’d be going away from a popular bat, and if you’re correct, that move alone will create some nice leverage.
I just think he’s the top option, and a matchup with Tyler Mahle looks pretty good on paper. Left-handed hitters have accounted for 12 of the 20 home runs Mahle has allowed this year, and Ohtani has a .995 career OPS against right-handed pitching. The fear case is real, too: he’s 1-for-12 lifetime against Mahle.
Randal Grichuk ($3,300): Cheap Access to the Chicago Game
The case is the same one I was making for Pham. Chicago has one of the better implied run totals of the day, the weather is the best on the slate for hitting, and Grichuk has strong numbers against southpaws: a .343 average, 11 home runs and a 1.086 OPS in 155 plate appearances against lefties since joining the White Sox, and a career .838 OPS in that split.
Know what you’re buying. Grichuk is much weaker against right-handers (a .668 OPS with Chicago this year), and Cleveland is opening with one. His value depends on a lefty taking over the bulk innings behind Daniel Espino, and the White Sox starting him anyway tells you that’s what they expect.
Matt Olson ($4,400): Power Against the Chalk
Matt Olson looks like one of the top GPP bats to target. He smashes right-handed pitching (25 of his 41 home runs came against righties this year, and he has a career .878 OPS in that split), and he will be facing the chalkiest pitcher of the night. His price and power splits could actually end up making him owned, but I have to think most people playing Glasnow will fade him.
The risk is real (Olson is 2-for-13 with four walks lifetime against Glasnow), but so is the upside and the leverage. This is also a unique spot where playing both Olson and Glasnow in the same build isn’t out of the question. If you want more on when to chase that kind of upside, our guide to ceiling versus floor in DFS covers it.
Wednesday’s Best MLB DFS Stacks
The Dodgers, White Sox and Guardians are my top three stacks, and the Braves are the leverage play. The Dodgers have the highest implied team total of the slate, and both sides of the Chicago game come next.
The run totals on the board below are implied totals worked out from DraftKings’ game totals and moneylines on October 7, 2026. They are the market’s numbers, not my own projections.
Los Angeles Dodgers (4.1): The Top Total on the Board
The Dodgers do have to deal with a park downgrade, but a date with Tyler Mahle looks pretty great on paper. Los Angeles led MLB in OPS against right-handed pitching this year (.766), and the Dodgers are favored to win this game and the series.
To his credit, Mahle has looked sharp. He’s posted 20-plus DraftKings points in three of his last four games, including seven innings of one-run ball against the Phillies in the Wild Card Series. However, in the one game where he dipped below, he fell apart to the tune of six hits, five runs and two home runs. His trouble with left-handed power sets him up at a disadvantage against Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Kyle Tucker.
Chicago White Sox (4.0): My Favorite Dollar-for-Dollar Stack
The White Sox are probably my favorite dollar-for-dollar stack. There are some cheap pieces we can target here, and as a team they posted a .184 ISO against southpaws this year, tied for the best mark in MLB. They’re also at home with the wind blowing out and a chance to finish a sweep.
They won’t face a lefty right away, though. Cleveland is opening with right-hander Daniel Espino, and I expect Foster Griffin to follow him (MLB.com has also floated lefty Joey Cantillo for that bulk role). Be mindful of guys who could start and be sat right away, and vice versa.
Cleveland Guardians (4.0): Don’t Ignore the Hitting Environment
Cleveland should benefit from the weather and the wind, plus Davis Martin is a guy the Guardians could potentially get to if he handles the bulk innings behind Sean Newcomb. I definitely lean toward the Sox in this matchup, and Cleveland’s bats are the weaker group (27th in MLB in home runs this year), but we shouldn’t completely ignore the Guardians due to the hitting environment.
Leverage Stack: Atlanta Braves (3.4)
I don’t want to completely ignore the Brewers, Padres or Yankees, but I also kind of do want to. I personally don’t have a ton of faith in any of these offenses, although if I had to stack one, it’d be Milwaukee against a cheap Buehler who isn’t that good and could pull some ownership.
If I’m straying from the top three MLB DFS stacks, I’d go with the Braves and really just aim to throw this slate on its side. Think about it: Atlanta does have a lot of lefty power, Glasnow has some warts to his game, and the Braves can’t lose this game. Our guide to finding low-owned MLB DFS stacks explains why a spot like this can pay off in tournaments.
Building Winning MLB DFS Lineups on 10/7
The basic strategy for today is obvious: fire up Glasnow and probably Fried, and also get to the Dodgers the best you can.
Atlanta stacks (mini or otherwise) are fine for leverage, and we can pick our spots and roll with one or two Braves bats even if we roster Glasnow. Chicago is probably my preferred stack when factoring in ownership and salary, while I also don’t mind getting to the Brewers a bit, either.
- Core build: Glasnow and Fried on the mound ($18,500), plus a Dodgers stack
- Salary saver: swap Fried for Buehler or Martinez and spend up on Ohtani and the Dodgers’ big bats
- Get different: a Braves stack, or one or two Braves bats (start with Olson) next to Glasnow
- Before lock: Guardians at White Sox starts at 4:00 PM ET, so confirm your Guardians and White Sox bats are in the posted lineups first; late swap covers the other three games
This slate is quite ugly. I’d favor the pitching and not force leverage into suboptimal spots if I can help it.
Build the Core in the Optimizer
Want to build around these plays? The optimizer below opens with Wednesday’s DraftKings pool loaded and my core locked in: Glasnow and Fried on the mound, with Ohtani in the lineup.
The tool fills the open spots only with players on an MLB active roster and skips arms who aren’t scheduled to pitch, but lineups weren’t posted when this went up. Swap out any auto-filled bat who isn’t in his team’s posted lineup before you enter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Five questions about Wednesday’s four-game Division Series slate, from the top arm to the bullpen games.
Who Is the Best Pitcher on Wednesday’s MLB DFS Slate?
Tyler Glasnow is Kevin’s top spend at 10,000 dollars on DraftKings. He scored 27 or more DraftKings points in each of his last two starts, has a 2.84 ERA on the road this year, and has held the Braves to a .207 batting average in six career meetings. Max Fried at 8,500 dollars is the only other premium arm scheduled to start.
Which MLB DFS Stacks Are Best for October 7, 2026?
Kevin’s top three stacks are the Dodgers, White Sox and Guardians, with the Braves as the leverage stack. The Dodgers have the highest implied total on the slate at about 4.1 runs against Tyler Mahle, and Guardians at White Sox has the highest game total on the board at 8.0.
Which Teams Are Using Bullpen Games on Wednesday’s DraftKings Slate?
Cleveland, Chicago and Milwaukee are all piecing their games together. The Guardians open with Daniel Espino, the White Sox open with Sean Newcomb, and the Brewers had not named a Game 4 starter as of 12:40 PM ET on Wednesday. Bulk arms like Foster Griffin, Davis Martin and Robert Gasser are in play if they get the innings, but they are hard to trust.
Should I Still Roster Tommy Pham Now That the White Sox Lineup Is Out?
No. Pham was Kevin’s original value bat only if he started, and he is not in Chicago’s posted lineup for Game 3. Randal Grichuk at 3,300 dollars takes that spot: he is starting, batting eighth, and has a 1.086 OPS against left-handed pitching since joining the White Sox.
Can I Play Matt Olson and Tyler Glasnow in the Same DraftKings Lineup?
Yes, Kevin says this is one of the rare spots where it is reasonable. Olson hit 25 of his 41 home runs against right-handed pitching this year and should be faded by most people rostering Glasnow, so one or two Braves bats next to Glasnow is a way to get different without giving up the slate’s best arm.
