Atlanta has built a competent supporting cast around their new superstar, making the Hawks a pretty interesting team moving forward. The Hawks still stink on defense and have a long ways to go, but they are fun on offense and are trending in the right direction.

The Bucks are confused. They seem to be on the fence about what their future should look like. On one hand, they have a superstar in his prime in Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he can’t seem to stay on the court, and they haven’t exactly been winning a lot when he’s active.
On the other hand, Giannis probably still gives this team their best shot of winning. They probably should sit him and tank to improve their draft pick, but they’re going to give it a go and try to make the NBA playoffs for some reason.
The idea is obviously to appease Giannis in an effort to keep him long-term, but if I had to guess, I doubt that works out. Regardless, the Bucks are just five games behind the Hawks, and a win tonight would close the gap further and give them the tiebreaker edge in the series.
Milwaukee is headed in the wrong direction, though. They have dropped three straight and are just 5-5 over their last 10 games, so they need to wake up in a hurry – starting tonight.

Atlanta struggles to get to the line consistently, and they could be more efficient, but they do a lot of good on offense and can burn defenses in a plethora of ways.
The Bucks are a bit of a mess offensively, as they seem to have a lot of effective individual parts, but have yet to truly put it all together.
Giannis isn’t always around, but when he’s there, the offense flows through him. He’s still rather dominant (27.6 ppg), while guys like Kevin Porter Jr., Ryan Rollins, Kyle Kuzma, Myles Turner, and Bobby Portis have all had their moments when Antetokounmpo was shelved.

My main Hawks vs. Bucks prediction is that this game is fast and high-scoring, though. The Hawks do not defend well, and they push the pace, while the Bucks should be able to have success in this matchup.
I do think it still leads to a win for Milwaukee on their home floor, but they have weirdly been better without Giannis lately than with him. That could just be a chemistry issue, so at least for tonight, I think they get it sorted out in a wild thriller.
