The 2026 Unrivaled playoffs are almost over, as we get the matchup we all hoped for in Tuesday’s championship game. That pits the top-seeded Phantom (11-3) against the Mist (10-4), after the Mist turned to Kelsey Plum’s heroics to punch their ticket to the title game.
Team Phantom won’t be favored to win, as FanDuel has the second-place Mist favored by 2.5 points to get the job done. Both teams are playing for the title, though, so the tight spread makes plenty of sense.
One of the best teams in Unrivaled will fall on Wednesday, and a new champion will be born. So, which side should you bet on? I’ll go over the matchup and gauge the best bets en route to a final Mist vs. Phantom prediction.

Mist BC
Team Mist is second in Unrivaled at 10-4, and they’ve won each of their last four games. They’re led by head coach Zach O’Brien and feature Arike Ogunbowale, Veronica Burton, Breanna Stewart, Alanna Smith, Allisha Gray, and Li Yuerue on their roster.
The Mist got off to a strong 3-1 start earlier in the year and eventually parlayed that into where they are now. With a big win on Tuesday, they can steal the league title from the grapes of Team Phantom.
They did lose to Phantom BC the last time they faced them (83-71), as they didn’t get much help outside of a dominant effort down low from Stewart. Stewart scored 28 points in that game, but the Mist will need a more balanced effort if they want to win the championship.
To their credit, they played Phantom BC very well in their first meeting this year, which resulted in a tight 64-61 finish. If this game goes more like that, bettors could be looking at this year’s champ.
Phantom BC
Phantom BC is the team to beat in the Unrivaled title game, simply because they swept the season series against the Mist. They also ended with the better record, got the #1 seed, and are riding a seven-game winning streak.
In a very real way, it’s a tad shocking to see them as the underdogs, even if it’s not by much.
Roneeka Hodges calls the shots from the sidelines for Team Phantom. This is a team with plenty of star power, with Kelsey Plum, Satou Sabally, Natasha Cloud, and Aliyah Boston doing most of the damage. Tiffany Hayes, Kiki Iriafen, and Dana Evans have also been turned to during the season.
Phantom BC has really been pretty dominant all year, and they smoked the Mist in their last meeting. The first meeting was much tighter, as the Phantom only shot 41% from the floor and 25% from deep.

As noted, these two teams have played each other twice this year. Team Phantom has had the upper hand, as they were the more cohesive and balanced offense.
They have also proven they can flat-out dominate this matchup, but also have the ability to squeak out a close game if needed.
Key Matchup Breakdown
The Mist are going to lean hard on Breanna Stewart, who was unstoppable in the second game in this series, but wasn’t as efficient the first time around. Stewart has been the driving force for Team Mist this year, finishing second on the team with 21.4 points per game and leading the way with 9.1 rebounds per contest.
Allisha Gray led the team in scoring (21.8 ppg) and was lights out from deep, shooting at a 39% clip. Arike Ogunbowale was the only other player to average double figures in scoring, but she was pretty inefficient.
Overall, this team finished the year first in scoring (77.7 points per game), while they ranked second in assists and did a great job taking care of the ball.
The Phantom ended the year with the league’s second-best scoring offense (73.4 ppg), while they were tops in assists per game and committed fewer turnovers than anyone.
Kelsey Plum has been the star offensive producer with 22.6 points per game, and she has been pretty tough to stop. She’s shooting almost 50% from the floor and 40% from long range, while she also chips in five assists per game.
Plum’s dynamic game powers a very good Phantom offense, but they also get a lot of help inside with Aliyah Boston putting up 18.9 points per game. Boston, Tiffany Hayes, and Natasha Cloud all operate as long-distance threats, with each hitting from deep at a 33% clip or better.
The Mist do a good job avoiding bad fouls, as they rank 1st with the fewest personal fouls on the year. They also rebound the ball extremely well, with Stewart placing them second in the league with 34.8 rebounds per game.
Team Mist is very active in the passing lanes, too, as they rack up 5.9 steals per game (1st), while they also notch 2.7 blocks per contest (4th).
The Phantom are not as accomplished defensively, but they still rank 5th in rebounding and third in blocks per game.
There are some key matchups to watch ahead of this Mist vs. Phantom tilt:
- Boston vs. Stewart: This might be the biggest matchup of the Unrivaled title game, as both of these players can be dominant offensive scorers inside. They also rebound well and can make a big impact defensively. Across the board, the edge goes to Stewart, but if it ends up being closer than expected, the Phantom could get a big boost.
- Plum vs. Mist’s perimeter defense: Plum was the hero for Team Phantom in their last game, and her clutch ability and production on the outside will be huge. She’ll be counted on for her shot-making and playmaking, but if she gets slowed down by a pesky Mist defense that can force turnovers, it could be a problem.

The 2026 Unrivaled title game odds favor the Mist. Team Phantom stands in as the better overall team, though, as they won the season series 2-0 and come in with the better record.
That said, the Mist do have Breanna Stewart down low, and everyone on their roster except for Li Yueru has proven to be a viable threat from long range this season.
The game total is fairly high, and that makes sense since both of these teams put up over 70 points per game and have quality inside/outside attacks.

This game is a very tough call. The only thing I know for sure is that the spread is a waste of time. Whoever you back, go with the moneyline.
This matchup has also seen a defensive battle and a shootout with over 150 combined points. Due to the magnitude of this game and what’s at stake, though, I lean toward the Under.

My main Mist vs. Phantom prediction is that we get a really close game that ultimately is fairly low-scoring and goes down to the wire. That’s what we got in one of the two meetings between these teams, and they honestly match up extremely well.
We get Kelsey Plum versus Allisha Gray on the outside, while Breanna Stewart and Aliyah Boston will wage war down low. Both sides will have their moments, but I am going to ultimately ride with Plum and the Phantom.
Team Phantom has been the team to beat for almost the entire season, they’re on fire with seven straight wins, and they’ve yet to lose to the Mist. If Boston can come remotely close to neutralizing Stewart inside, Phantom BC could be an awesome steal at their +110 price tag.
