2026-27 NFL Division Odds, Picks, and Predictions

Empty NFL stadium lit at dusk with a tablet on a railing showing betting odds data

August is just around the corner, which means it’s time to bet on 2026 NFL futures. Odds for the Super Bowl and NFL MVP are up, and you can also bet on who will win each NFL division.

NFL division odds are always the most fun to target, as they tend to be fairly predictable and can also offer solid value. The biggest issues? People don’t always like the pricing, depending on the division, or they’re too scared to project a team’s jump in a competitive division.

This is one of the most popular NFL futures for a reason, though. Betting on the Super Bowl or league MVP offers more compelling prices, but you have less room for error. You also lack historical evidence and you are trying to pick one winner out of 32 competitors.

You get a one in four shot when betting on NFL division winners, and yet the actual bets you place are not exactly priced as such. Now is the time to take advantage of the obvious value, and we’ve got you covered with the latest 2026-27 NFL division odds, our top picks, value bets, and final predictions.

2026 NFL Division Quick Picks

Our picks to win the eight NFL divisions in 2026 are the Bills, Ravens, Texans, Broncos, Cowboys, Bears, Falcons, and Rams. Here is the full board, with a confidence rating on every call.

Division Our Pick Confidence
AFC East Buffalo Bills 5/5
AFC North Baltimore Ravens 5/5
AFC South Houston Texans 5/5
AFC West Denver Broncos 4/5
NFC East Dallas Cowboys 3/5
NFC North Chicago Bears 3/5
NFC South Atlanta Falcons 3/5
NFC West Los Angeles Rams 5/5

Best NFL Division Bets

The Los Angeles Rams (+100), Denver Broncos (+225), and Atlanta Falcons (+425) are the three NFL division bets we like most this year. When looking at value and upside, here’s a quick-hitting breakdown of the best favorite, value, and more for 2026.

Best Favorite – Los Angeles Rams (+100)

The NFC West is stacked, but the Rams have pretty amazing Super Bowl odds and easily have the most loaded roster the entire league has to offer. The defending champion Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers won’t make it easy, but getting the Rams at plus money feels like robbery.

Best Value Bet – Denver Broncos (+225)

DraftKings has Denver priced like they’re due for a setback, but I just see them as an absurd betting value. This team had the nastiest pass rush in all of football and was a healthy Bo Nix foot from playing in the Super Bowl. Adding Jaylen Waddle makes them even more dynamic, so I’m not about to bet on them failing to secure the AFC West crown.

Best Longshot – Atlanta Falcons (+425)

I am picking the Falcons to emerge out of the terrible crowded NFC South. The Dirty Birds have a new head coach in Kevin Stefanski and a new quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa. Given the loaded offense featuring Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, the new duo would have to work awfully hard to mess this up.

Best Division Race – NFC North

This might be the most stacked division in pro football. This is the one division race where literally anyone could take it. I have the Bears winning again, but Detroit was the best team in the NFL just two seasons ago, the Packers are always in the mix, and Kyler Murray just might make the Vikings formidable.

Division to Avoid – None

The only time I’d avoid betting on NFL divisions is if there is a favorite coming in with egregious -450 odds. That may happen later during the season, and at that point I’d steer clear. But for now, every single division offers rock solid value.

2026-27 NFL Division Odds

The Rams (+100), Texans (+110), Eagles (+115), Ravens (-112), and Bills (-136) are the shortest prices on the 2026-27 NFL division odds board. Numbers move week to week and vary by book, so it pays to compare the top NFL betting sites before you bet. Here is every division, one at a time. Every price below is the DraftKings division-winner board as of August 3, 2026.

AFC East Odds

Team Odds
Buffalo Bills -136
New England Patriots +125
New York Jets +1900
Miami Dolphins +4000

New England won the AFC East last year, so they arguably come in at a nice discounted price as the projected runner-up. They have to navigate a wild offseason run by Mike Vrabel rumors, plus the year after losing the Super Bowl is often rocky.

This division is otherwise a likely cakewalk. Miami might be the worst offensive team in the league, while the Jets would shock the world if they finished above .500. Neither team looks like a playoff contender, let alone a threat to win the AFC East.

That leaves the Bills. They were among the best teams in the NFL and maintained consistency despite canning longtime head coach Sean McDermott. Former MVP Josh Allen spearheads one of the league’s more dynamic offenses, giving Buffalo a clear path to a division title.

AFC North Odds

Team Odds
Baltimore Ravens -112
Cincinnati Bengals +184
Pittsburgh Steelers +510
Cleveland Browns +2100

The AFC North is almost definitely coming down to the Ravens and Bengals. Cincy keeps getting stellar play out of Joe Burrow, but nagging injuries and a weak defense have been their Kryptonite. If he can stay on the field and the defense is better, the Bengals have a shot.

Lamar Jackson and co. got off to an awesome start, but poor health and a stale message kept the Ravens from reaching the playoffs. New head coach Jesse Minter boosts an inconsistent defense, while former Ben Johnson disciple Declan Doyle could have Lamar in position for yet another league MVP award, as well as a division title.

Pittsburgh doesn’t get much respect, so they are an admitted value at +510 after stealing the AFC North crown last year. Mike McCarthy reunites with a seemingly washed Aaron Rodgers for one last hurrah, so the Steelers still have a chance to be fun.

Cleveland is forever the doormat. Maybe they’ll rise up one day, but trading Myles Garrett away signals the waving of the white flag. They are without a doubt one of the poorest NFL division bets you can make in 2026.

AFC South Odds

Team Odds
Houston Texans +110
Jacksonville Jaguars +245
Indianapolis Colts +380
Tennessee Titans +800

The Texans and Jaguars are the likely contenders for the AFC South, but the Colts might not be far behind. Houston does have the best defense in football and could take a massive step if CJ Stroud is able to rediscover his rookie form.

Jacksonville surged down the stretch last year and looked like one of the more dynamic teams in the NFL. They fell in a shootout to a good Bills team, but absolutely have the talent to win this division again.

Indy was running hot until Daniel Jones tore his Achilles. It’s likely he won’t fully return to form after an injury like that, but the Colts do have some potential if he can shock the world.

Tennessee has made a lot of positive moves, but even with steady progress out of former #1 pick Cam Ward, this is a season of building. They’re still not a good bet to threaten for the division title.

AFC West Odds

Team Odds
Kansas City Chiefs +160
Los Angeles Chargers +190
Denver Broncos +225
Las Vegas Raiders +2000

The AFC West betting odds are a bit shocking. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes might deserve this type of credit, but the Chiefs did not look good last year. Now they are changing offensive coordinators again, Travis Kelce will be 37, and Mahomes is coming off a torn ACL. Oof.

I’d rather put my money on the Chargers or Broncos. Denver was a Super Bowl contender and lost nothing. In fact, they added a splash playmaker in Jaylen Waddle. They might get even better, while the Bolts got healthier and added offensive guru Mike McDaniel to their sidelines.

The only team here that doesn’t stand a chance has to be the Raiders. Klint Kubiak takes over after winning a title in Seattle, but despite the promise he brings, Las Vegas is 1-2 years away from being a true playoff contender.

Division prices swing harder between books than weekly sides do, and the gap widens as you move down the board. A +425 longshot at one sportsbook can be +475 at the next, which is real money on a ticket you are holding until January. Compare before you commit.

NFC East Odds

Team Odds
Philadelphia Eagles +115
Dallas Cowboys +235
Washington Commanders +460
New York Giants +600

Someone new seems to win the NFC East every year. The Eagles won it last season, so if you want to bet based on that logic, don’t go after them. Fading Philly may not be a bad strategy in general, as they did struggle in the second half last year and lost a stud playmaker in A.J. Brown in a trade with the Patriots.

Dallas seems to be trending upwards. They were extremely competitive last year, offering an elite offense with a struggling defense. If the defense can correct itself, they look like a solid bet to dethrone the Eagles.

Washington went from great to awful in a year. Injuries to Jayden Daniels were a big reason why, but their defense also fell apart. The jury is very much out as to which version of this team will show up in 2026, and that makes them a flimsy NFC East bet.

The Giants have plenty of young talent and a maturing defense, so in theory, adding a veteran coach like John Harbaugh could help them turn around quickly. They’re just awfully tough to trust, even at their fun +600 price tag.

NFC North Odds

Team Odds
Detroit Lions +170
Green Bay Packers +225
Chicago Bears +305
Minnesota Vikings +510

The NFC North is probably the toughest division to predict this year. Depending on how things shake out, all four teams could make a push for the playoffs and be in contention for first place.

We know the Bears, Lions, and Packers are here to stay. Chicago’s defense needs to be better and Caleb Williams has to show he can be more accurate, but The Iceman has proven he can carry this offense.

Detroit started strong but fizzled late. Consistency will be key, while they already have some big holes to fill on the defensive side of the ball. The same could be said for the Packers, who continue to have a dynamic offense, but Micah Parsons potentially missing the first half of the season could be catastrophic.

Minnesota makes sense as the team with the worst NFC North odds, but it really all comes down to how good Kyler Murray is in Kevin O’Connell’s offense. He’ll be better than J.J. McCarthy, though, and maybe that’s enough to thrust the Vikes back into the playoff picture.

NFC South Odds

Team Odds
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +164
New Orleans Saints +265
Carolina Panthers +310
Atlanta Falcons +425

The NFC South is wide open, as you could make a relatively strong case for any of these teams winning the division crown. Last year it was the Panthers almost by default, as they did so with a weak 8-9 record and needed a full-blown collapse from the Buccaneers to win the division.

Carolina is well-coached and has some solid pieces, so another positive step forward wouldn’t be a shock. Tampa Bay could still be a problem if they can stay healthy, though, as the Bucs got off to a 7-5 start before falling apart (1-4) over the final five games.

New Orleans and Atlanta are total darkhorses. I believe in the coaching for both teams, while both franchises have gobs of talent on offense. The Saints are probably the odd man out, though, as betting against Bijan Robinson isn’t something I feel great about.

NFC West Odds

Team Odds
Los Angeles Rams +100
Seattle Seahawks +205
San Francisco 49ers +305
Arizona Cardinals +10000

The NFC West is incredibly jam-packed up top. The Rams made some huge moves and look like the most talented team in the league, the 49ers are built to contend still, and the Seahawks just got done winning it all.

Seattle lost their top running back and OC, so a mild step back (or even a big one) can be expected. I wouldn’t be shocked if they missed the playoffs altogether, but a repeat as division winner is the first thing I’d shy away from.

San Francisco is in the mix, but the 49ers seem to constantly struggle to stay healthy. The fact that they are relying on aging pieces plays into that, and their three best offensive players will all be 30 or older.

The Rams are tough to deny. Is this a “don’t get cute” situation? I tend to think so. Sure, Matthew Stafford is due for some regression at age 38, but L.A. is positively loaded on both sides of the ball; so much so that failing to win the NFC West would be a huge failure.

Arizona is already cooked. They’ve made positive moves in the draft and we’ll see what hiring Matt LaFleur’s little brother amounts to. But this is a team that should be picking a new franchise passer in the top 10 picks next year, not contending for a division crown.

NFL Division Predictions for 2026

Every division below gets three calls: the betting favorite, our best bet, and the value pick worth a second look. Every division is mapped out with quick picks and odds, but there is more than one way to skin a cat. Here’s our 2026 NFL division predictions, featuring the top picks and reasoning.

AFC East Prediction

  • Favorite: Bills (-136)
  • Best Bet: Bills (-136)
  • Value Pick: Patriots (+125)

Buffalo enters as the 2026 AFC East favorite and their odds also make them the most compelling bet. New England is their only threat, but the Pats have a lot to work through, whether it be Mike Vrabel’s off-field scandal or recovering from a Super Bowl loss.

Super Bowl hangovers are no joke, though. I think the Pats struggle just enough to let Allen and co. take the division back this year.

Prediction: Bills (-136)

AFC North Prediction

  • Favorite: Ravens (-112)
  • Best Bet: Ravens (-112)
  • Value Pick: Steelers (+510)

The AFC North is almost definitely coming down to the Ravens and Bengals. Lamar Jackson was playing at an MVP level before getting hurt last year, while a healthy Joe Burrow makes the Bengals must-see TV.

Baltimore gets the edge due to a superior defense and coaching changes that just might maximize their talent on both ends of the field. Cincy is the pivot at +184, but let’s not ignore the fact that the Steelers just won this thing. The idea of them running it back with a solid coach in Mike McCarthy leading the charge is admittedly tempting.

Prediction: Ravens (-112)

AFC South Prediction

  • Favorite: Texans (+110)
  • Best Bet: Texans (+110)
  • Value Pick: Jaguars (+245)

Houston’s offense needs to catch up to their smothering defense, but even if it doesn’t it feels like they can do enough to get the Texans to the top of the AFC South. C.J. Stroud still has elite potential, too, so if Houston comes close to reaching their offensive ceiling this team could become unstoppable.

The only other team bettors should waste their time on is Jacksonville. The Jaguars won the division last year and only got better, making them a legit pivot at +245.

Prediction: Texans (+110)

AFC West Prediction

  • Favorite: Chiefs (+160)
  • Best Bet: Broncos (+225)
  • Value Pick: Broncos (+225)

Kansas City opens the 2026 NFL season as the favorite to win the AFC West, but I’m not seeing it. KC began to lose their magic last year, and they’re older and hobbled in a stacked division.

That “stacked” reference includes the Chargers at an appealing +190 price tag, but there’s just something about the Bolts I can’t bring myself to trust. Denver just got done winning this thing and the only thing that changed is Jaylen Waddle came to town, threatening to make a dynamic offense even better.

Prediction: Broncos (+225)

NFC East Prediction

  • Favorite: Eagles (+115)
  • Best Bet: Cowboys (+235)
  • Value Pick: Commanders (+460)

The Eagles come in as the 2026 NFC East favorites, but a rocky finish and jettisoning A.J. Brown out of town is cause for pause. Dallas, meanwhile, is loaded offensively and getting better on defense.

The Cowboys look like the team to beat here, but everyone offers value and nobody stands out as a sure thing. Washington does offer compelling value considering they won this thing just two years ago, but if I’m betting on who will win the NFC East I’m starting with the Cowboys.

Prediction: Cowboys (+235)

NFC North Prediction

  • Favorite: Lions (+170)
  • Best Bet: Bears (+305)
  • Value Pick: Vikings (+510)

Welcome to the least predictable division in pro football. The Lions are the early betting favorites, but literally anyone in this division could run away with it. Brace for a long season where we don’t know the victor until the final weeks.

That said, the Bears won this thing last year and are set up to only get better. Elite coaching is in place to guide an offense that lost nothing, while an opportunistic defense should only improve.

I don’t want to ignore the Packers, Lions, and Vikings. They all offer value and Minnesota is quite the dart throw at +510 if you believe in Kyler. But I don’t see anyone dethroning Caleb Williams.

Prediction: Bears (+305)

NFC South Prediction

  • Favorite: Buccaneers (+164)
  • Best Bet: Falcons (+425)
  • Value Pick: Falcons (+425)

The Buccaneers, Falcons, and Panthers all finished 8-9 last year and one of those teams made the playoffs. Disgusting, I know. The way to assess these teams is to bet on the team with the most talent and the highest ceiling. I think that’s Atlanta.

The trio of Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts gives new coach Kevin Stefanski a ton to work with. Besides, Baker Mayfield can’t stay healthy, you can’t possibly trust Bryce Young, and the Saints aren’t ready to be taken seriously.

In a trash division, let’s aim high.

Prediction: Falcons (+425)

NFC West Prediction

  • Favorite: Rams (+100)
  • Best Bet: Rams (+100)
  • Value Pick: 49ers (+305)

This is one of those bets where you just take what is in front of you and move along. The Rams have a top-5 coach, a top-5 quarterback, a top-5 wide receiver, and just traded for Myles Garrett. L.A. is simply going to be too good for most everyone in 2026.

Want to get creative? No, you shouldn’t bet on the Cardinals. But hey, the Seahawks offer value as a +205 defending champ, and the old but talented 49ers do offer a nice +305 price.

That said, the Niners are very reliant on old superstars and Super Bowl winners usually regress at least a little. All of that should be enough for the Rams to secure the division.

Prediction: Rams (+100)

Which Division Odds Have Moved Since July?

Six of the 32 division prices have shifted since this board was last posted on July 22, 2026, and the other 26 are sitting exactly where they were. Nothing has moved far enough to change a division favorite, but two races did tighten in ways worth knowing about before you take a number.

Team July 22 August 3 Direction
Buffalo Bills-125-136Shorter
New England Patriots+120+125Longer
Baltimore Ravens-115-112Longer
Cincinnati Bengals+194+184Shorter
Detroit Lions+180+170Shorter
Green Bay Packers+215+225Longer

The NFC North is the one to watch. Detroit shortened while Green Bay drifted, so a race this page called a coin flip in July now has a clearer favorite on the board. The AFC East moved the same way, with Buffalo tightening from -125 to -136 as New England eased back. The AFC North went the other direction: Baltimore softened slightly and Cincinnati shortened, which narrows the gap at the top rather than widening it.

None of this is camp news reacting to anything concrete yet. Preseason has not started, so these are small market adjustments rather than repricing on new information. The board’s first real test arrives with the Hall of Fame Game on August 6, 2026 and full preseason play the following week.

How to Bet NFL Division Futures

Before placing a division futures bet, consider several factors beyond the current odds.

  • Quarterback play
  • Coaching changes
  • Free agency and offseason additions
  • Strength of schedule
  • Injury concerns
  • Divisional records from the previous season
  • Offensive and defensive continuity
  • Line movement and market value

Looking beyond the favorite can create the best betting value, especially in competitive divisions where several teams have realistic paths to first place. If you are still getting comfortable with the market, our guide to NFL futures and win totals covers how these tickets are priced and settled.

That said, some division favorites are simply the best bet. It’s important to weigh some criteria over others, with quarterback play, coaching, and defensive aptitude ranking highly.

Want to bet on a big sleeper bet? Look for a team that showed serious growth down the stretch the year before, or target a team with a slew of positive changes during the offseason. Our list of NFL teams most likely to surprise is a good starting point. Teams on the brink of a jump that have marquee talent and are under new guidance are popular candidates to rise up the standings.

Betting on 2026 NFL Division Winners

Here are our predicted winners for all eight NFL divisions in 2026, from the safest call to the biggest swing.

Division Predicted Winner
AFC East Bills
AFC North Ravens
AFC South Texans
AFC West Broncos
NFC East Cowboys
NFC North Bears
NFC South Falcons
NFC West Rams

I don’t anticipate a terrible amount of surprises in NFL division betting in 2026. The big stunner is Atlanta to win the NFC South, but considering how weak that division was a year ago, taking a shot on an elite value bet makes sense.

Most of the other division races will be competitive, with two or three teams having a legitimate chance to secure the crown, and the tightest of them get sorted by the league’s official tie-breaking procedures. Some calls are easier than others, as I think Buffalo and L.A. end up coasting to division titles despite solid competition.

The toughest divisions to call are the AFC West and NFC North. All four teams in the NFC North have a serious case to win, while three teams have a shot in the AFC West.

Early NFL division betting comes down to value and offseason changes. Did these teams get better, were they a force a year ago, and is the price too good to ignore? That is ultimately up to you, the bettor, but there’s no denying that there are numerous 2026 NFL division bets worth going after.

🏈
Our 2026 NFL Division Best Bets

The Los Angeles Rams (+100) are our top division play, the Denver Broncos (+225) are the standout value, and the Atlanta Falcons (+425) are the longshot worth a smaller ticket. Division prices move all summer, so confirm the current number before you bet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still sizing up the 2026-27 NFL division odds? Here are quick answers to the questions bettors ask most about this market.

What is an NFL division winner bet?

This type of market allows you to wager on which team will win a given NFL division. Each division has odds for which team can win, and you predict which one will end with the best record.

When is the best time to bet NFL division odds?

Before the season and after the market adjusts. The odds will never be better than they are right now, but a second wave of NFL division bets can be good once the public sees how teams perform after a few weeks.

Which NFL division is the most competitive in 2026?

The NFC North looks like the toughest race to call. Each team has finished in first place at least once in the last five seasons, while all four teams look like potential playoff contenders.

How often do preseason favorites win their division?

Historically, preseason division favorites win 50-60% of the time. Each year should be judged individually, however, while pricing, injuries, roster talent, and offseason moves all need to be considered.

Can multiple teams from the same division make the playoffs?

Absolutely. Each conference sends four division winners to the playoffs, but three more teams qualify every year. Technically, an entire division could make the playoffs in the same year, although it’s highly unlikely.

What happens if two teams finish with the same record?

A tiebreaker decides their order in the standings. The teams are stacked up based on head-to-head record and record within the division. Common games and conference records also come into play, as needed.

Should you bet favorites or longshots to win a division?

Both are viable. Favorites or top contenders are safer bets, but longshots can experience big turn-arounds. Just make sure any longshot bet has sound reasoning behind it.
