What Is Gambling?
“Gambling” (also called gaming throughout this website) is defined by wikipedia as wagering or risking money without a pre-determined outcome (otherwise considered the element of chance) with the intent or goal to win money or prizes.
The act of gambling is typically called “betting” or “wagering“.

Live Casino Gambling – as gambling in all verticals has exploded in just about every corner of the globe, we are creating a complete list of places to gamble and live casinos organized by region, world wide. It is commonly thought that the United States and the West in general are the biggest markets for all types of casino gaming, a paradigm that is quickly shifting to the East as emerging markets grow.
Business Of Gambling – international expansion of all types of gambling has fueled interest from investors and markets globally. Many companies not traditionally involved in gaming are now opening up operations (especially true in the online world) or investing in gambling related business opportunities.
Economics Of Gambling – few players consider the impacts of government tax revenue related to gambling in all forms. Our guide includes references to impact studies on how regulation and taxation of all forms of gambling impact countries GDP.
This topic includes player paid taxes on winnings (as well as credits for losing), and revenues generated both by private companies and government sponsored gambling activities like the US state lotteries which are often called a “tax on the poor” due to the wealth distribution credit to homeowners property taxes.
The subject of gambling economics crosses over heavily into regulation, law, business, and country specific sections but warrants a small place of it’s own.
Mathematics Of Gambling – amazingly enough I’ve not been able to find a single easy to read and scannable resource for weighing the odds in all situations related to gambling.
